We are thankful for the support and prayers of people in the community.  Whether support comes in the way of monetary donations, the gift of time through volunteering, or simply sharing the vision of Homes of Hope for Children with others, we appreciate the gracious gits that are presented to us. 

Housewarming Gifts
Quite a few groups have generously donated household goods for our cottage.  We've also had requests for lists of items that we still need.  We have included a general list below.  We also have a registry that has been established at Target.

• Toiletries- shampoo, soap, tissues, toilet paper, hair products, soft soap
• Paper Products- paper towels, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags (all sizes), trash bags,etc.
• Cleaning Supplies- dishwasher detergent, all purpose cleaner, dish soap, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner,carpet cleaner, dust spray, rags, sponges, mop, broom, bucket, air freshner etc.
• Laundry Supplies- HE laundry detergent, stain remover, dryer sheets, etc.
• Sport Equipment- basket balls, soccer balls, frisbees, etc.
• Kid and Teenage Appropriate Movies
• Books- Bibles, chapter and graphic novels
• Board Games/Puzzles

Volunteering

Construction Volunteers

• Helping with constructing the buildings on our campus. 
• Depending on the progress, volunteer skills may include:
• Framing
• Roofing
• Plumbing
• Electrical work
• Drywall work
• Painting
• Trim work with cabinets, molding, countertops, etc.
• Installing flooring
• Landscaping
• Cleaning – needed all throughout building process
• Finishing work – finish electrical work, decorating, etc.

 
Events – “Hope Classic” Golf Tournament - April of each year
 
Upcoming Event – Silent/Live Auction:

• August 7, 2010, Hattiesburg Cultural Center
• Volunteer needs:
• Committee members – helping with event planning, sponsorships, item donations, & ticket sales
• Event day volunteers – registration, live auction spotters, check-out volunteers, servers/hostesses
• Auction attendees

Speaking Opportunities:

• Helping to find speaking events for the ministry – community organizations, churches, business organizations, events, etc.
