A Message From the Director
Genesis 50:20 is a verse that has always encouraged and motivated me.  I believe that in many ways, this verse perfectly illustrates why ministries like Homes of Hope for Children are important.  In this verse, Joseph is talking to his brothers.  His father has just passed away, and they believe that Joseph has been waiting to take out his revenge for all the things they did to him.  Instead of anger and resentment, Joseph says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”

Like Joseph, we have all faced obstacles in our lives.  The children that come to live on our campus have most definitely experienced some of life’s toughest issues.  However, those obstacles do not have to negatively define their lives.  This verse teaches us that in the same situation that Satan planned for evil, God planned on using it for good.  He also plans on using that obstacle to help others.  I have been blessed to see that verse lived out in my life.  I have gone from being served in a children’s home to now being a part of building one for other children in need.  God truly has great plans for each of us no matter what our current situation looks like.

Please pray for Homes of Hope for Children as we work tirelessly to make this ministry a reality for the children who need us.
